Our Purpose
Camp Boggy Creek makes it possible for children with serious illnesses and their families to experience a free, life-changing camp where safety, respect, love, and joy come together to enrich their physical and behavioral health. Bee Jay’s son, Jacob, has hemophilia, a rare disorder in which the blood doesn’t clot in the typical way due to a lack of proteins. As a child growing up, camps like this helped Jacob and our family forget about limitations or fears related to Hemophilia and connect with people who may share this rare condition while also learning skills otherwise not readily available to him like horseback riding, swimming, and rock climbing.
